Master Bedroom Reveal

I am so excited to finally share my favorite room in our home. We have been in this house for a year now and while I feel that every room is still a work in progress, my husband will tell you that I’m just very indecisive and quite honestly, he’s right. I never feel like I’m done and that every room could use extra touches. The Virgo in me has to make sure that everything is perfect and decorating your home is filled with many forever decisions. With all that said and I hope my husband doesn’t quote me on this but our master bedroom is finally done (I think).

I wanted our master bedroom to serve as a retreat. My husband has long work days and an even longer commute home and I have three children under three so our bedroom HAD to serve as a peaceful oasis where we could both unwind.  Soft tones make a room feel bright and open. Many people overlook the color white but I think it’s the easiest color to use as a base because then you can add any pop of color and grays and creams make the space feel warm and cozy.

There was no doubt in my mind that the focal point of our bedroom would be the Fallon Upholstered Bed by Pottery Barn in linen oatmeal. This was the first purchase for our oasis and then I built everything around it.

I love neutrals and the sense of peace that they give my soul. With three kids under three, I need all the peace I can get even if it is from a soothing wall color like Graytint by Benjamin Moore. We love this color so much that it has popped up in most of our home. We pair it with Super White by Benjamin Moore for the trim.

You know the feeling you get when you walk into a hotel room and the bed has layers and layers of soft white sheets and comforters and pillows? Then you throw yourself on the bed and its A-M-A-Z-I-N-G? I wanted to feel that every day and the Pottery Barn Essential 300 Thread Count Sheet Set along with the Hadley Ruched Duvet Cover and Shams gave me all of that.  The throw pillows are from Home Goods.

I live for adding texture with fabric and when these curtains found me at Home Goods I had all the feels. As for the rug, the mute flower pattern by Safavieh Home helped me keep the room neutral but also gave me a romantic feel.

I know that everyone who I spoke to during the time I was decoration was sick of hearing me trying to decide on nightstands but instead of mirrored nightstands which are on super on trend, I decided to go with classic pieces and use trendy accents instead.  The nightstands are from the Horton Collection available on Wayfair.

Since I already have a full-length mirror, I didn’t want one over the dresser, instead, I opted for these two pieces that I found at Home Goods.

I wanted a cute sitting area by the closet and floor length mirror to keep my many outfit changes contained in one section of our bedroom. Now it’s my husband’s favorite place to dump his clothes on as well as his favorite place to put his shoes on. This mint colored chair tied perfectly tied everything together. Both the chair and table are from Home Goods.

There is nothing a girl loves more than a floor length mirror and this one had my name written all over it. Also from Home Goods because I live there.

The last piece I purchased was a bench for the end of our bed which I am very proud my husband spotted and purchased on one of our many visits to Home Goods.

And that’s it! I hope I was able to give you some bedroom inspo today.

Make sure you check in next week to see the complete unveiling of my son’s big boy bedroom.
