When I take down my Christmas decor and tree, I feel like my house tends to look so empty like its missing some warmth. I have found that one of the easiest ways to add some personality and to update a room in your home is with some throw pillows. My husband always asks why we need so many. I say you can never have too many, also I say it is one of the most affordable ways to change a look. Trying to find the perfect throw pillows for a sofa you might think can be a bit overwhelming. There are colors, sizes, and texture to take in consideration.
Think of the feel you want with for the room. Do you want cozy? Then add some faux-fur. Do you want glam? Then add some sparkle. How about bold? Then add some animal print or fun stripes. There are just so many ways you can show off your personality with throw pillows. If you have been reading my past blog posts you have noticed that I’m more of a neutral, soft earth tones type of gal as it leaves room for pops of color. In my summer living room post, you can see that I added hues of teal. But lately, I have been crushing over the beautiful color of blush. It just really warmed the space up. Also, there are so many shades of the pink to chose from so you don’t feel it looks too juvenile or too feminine.
My rule for throw pillows is always to have my all year round pillows and I have them in a neutral tone but with some fun embellishments. I get four of them, two for each sofa Then to add personality I get a pop of color or a pretty pattern usually in odd numbers two for the larger sofa and one for the love seat.
