If you are expecting the Big City Moms Biggest Baby Shower is a must. Last week Elizabeth and I got to attend our very first event as Oye Mami Show and between you and me, it also happens to be one of my favorite events ever.
When I was pregnant, I loved attending the Biggest Baby Shower. I was amongst my people. My waddling, pelvic bone aching people. This event caters to pregnant women with seating areas to rest the cankles and snacks. The best part is that the celeb moms that attend are also amongst their people and are checking out the new baby gear and learning as much in the seminars as us non-celeb moms are. I’ll never forget how excited my husband was when Jessica Alba had a whole casual conversation with me about Honest Diapers and mom responsibilities. Then Tamara Mowry talked to me about my pregnancy style and finally, Susan Lucci aka Erika Kane still goes down as the nicest celeb I have ever met. She was so sweet and it took everything I had to hold back my desire to ask her to please slap me All My Children style. It has been 5 years since I last attended the Big City Moms Biggest Baby Shower and it has only gotten better.
Experiencing this event without a tenant in my uterus was just as much fun as when I was pregnant. Elizabeth and I hung out in the Babyganics lounge area, took headshots from Classic Kids Photography, mingled with other influencers, sat in on a seminar, and got to see all the super cute and stylish baby gear that all the new parents get to choose from. You guys, why is baby gear so much cuter now than it was five years ago? I mean this stuff was so stylish that it might have even given me some FOMO. Like, I might need to borrow someone’s baby so I can sport some of the strollers we saw. We even got to chat with the hilarious Cat and Nat! In our minds, we are all best friends now.
Tell me I’m not alone when I say that I have always wondered what it feels like to sit in a bouncy seat well, I shall wonder no more because Baby Bjorn had an adult sized bouncy that was perfect for a photo op. All that was missing was a cocktail.
There were tons of contests going on and all attendees left with major swag. The Big City Moms Biggest Baby Shower also visits Chicago, Miami, Los Angeles, and Washington DC so even if you are not expecting and have a friend who is, this is the perfect way to hang out with her. Get her a ticket and help her carry some of her swag and speaking of swag, unlike myself you won’t have to worry about experiencing any FOMO because we are giving away our swag bag pictured above (basket not included) that includes goodies from Babyganics, Summer Infant, Huggies, Smarty Pants Vitamins, Dr. Brown’s and more. All you need to do is follow the directions below and enter for your chance to win. Lots of luck!
